One of the absolute WORST symptoms of alcohol withdrawal is anxiety. The word “anxiety” doesn’t do justice to the sense of impending doom, cold sweats, and shakes that too many of us are familiar with.
During post-acute withdrawal, anxiety often creeps up out of the blue and causes panic attacks and even relapse.
So in this video, I discuss seven of my favorite supplements for reducing anxiety caused by alcohol withdrawal or even post-acute withdrawal.
I did not have the benefit of this knowledge before I quit drinking. I discovered many of these remedies during post-acute withdrawal, and I used them to help me ward off anxiety and thereby prevent relapse.
Here are the seven supplements that you will learn in detail about in this video:
- Magnesium
- Passionflower
- Valerian Root
- Chamomile
- Phenibut
- CBD Oil
- Amino Acids – L-theanine, L-glutamine, L-tryptophan, and others

Concluding Thoughts
Reducing anxiety after beating alcohol withdrawal is awesome, but it’s just one of a series of improvements toward rewiring your brain and improving your quality of life.
In order to really conquer addiction forever, there are more pieces of the puzzle that you need to get right:
- Further supplementation
- Relapse prevention
- Diet improvements
- Exercise regimen
- Mental strategies
- Maximizing Support
- Medications (for some people)

Great plan Eric, sounds like you’ve got some solid supplements in the mix. Take care with the phenibut – it is effective but can cause dependence when used for longer than a week. Best of luck buddy!
